Hiring a contactor is not always as simple as you'd think. What most people don't understand, is when looking for a contractor that you will hope to be comfortable with, you are going to basically find yourself going through an interview process. At times this can be quite frustrating. You have to be able to ask the questions that you need answers to. Here are a few questions that you NEED to ask the contractor you are interviewing

Is the company he/she works for licensed and registered with the state?
Are they insured i.e. liability insurance?
Do they have available references and some kind of portfolio?
Do they have your best interests in mind?
Do they understand your concept and what your are trying to achieve?
Does his work schedule fit into your completion date?
Do they have reliable references?

Remember this is a huge commitment to both you and your family/business, and should not be an emotional rollercoaster. Be sure to feel comfortable with the decision you are going to make and the venture you are looking to partake in.
